The Dynamics of Molecular Material within 15 Pcs of the Galactic Center
نویسنده
چکیده
We report the results of a 5-field mosaic of the central 15pc of the Galaxy in the (1,1) and (2,2) lines of NH3. Two narrow filaments or streamers are seen running parallel to the Galactic plane. The southern streamer appears to carry gas directly toward the nuclear region from the 20 km seccloud. The eastern streamer, which we will denote the molecular ridge, appears to be the denser part of the 50 km seccloud which lies immediately east of the Sgr A East complex and extends in the south towards the 20 km seccloud. This ridge of gas carries the kinematical signatures of interactions with Sgr A East as well as a SNR which lies south of the Galactic center. The bulk motion of the gas, the enhanced line widths, and the heating of the molecular material all suggest an active evolutionary phase for the gas immediately adjacent to the nucleus. Assessment of polymer composite reinforced with nanomaterial against ionizing radiation
Introduction: Unwanted exposure of ionizing radiation may result in carcinogenesis, cell mutations, and organ failure. High-atomic number elements such as lead, tungsten, bismuth have been traditionally used for radiation protection. Theoretical and practical studies have shown that a variety of shielding materials e.g. polymer composites (PCs) can be used for attenuation of th...
متن کاملThe effect of variation of stellar dispersion velocities by the galactic latitude in interpreting gravitational microlensing observations
Our galaxy is a spiral galaxy and its stars are mostly in a thin disk and rotate around the galactic center. The vertical component of the dispersion velocity of stars is a function of the galactic latitude and decreases with increasing it. In the galactic Besancon model, this dependence is ignored and they just consider the dependence of dispersion velocity on the stellar age. Becanson model i...

Microtubule Affinity-Regulating Kinase 2 (MARK2) protein has a substantial role in regulation of vital cellular processes like induction of polarity, regulation of cell junctions, cytoskeleton structure and cell differentiation. The abnormal function of this protein has been associated with a number of pathological conditions like Alzheimer disease, autism, several carcinomas and development of...
متن کاملPlanar Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Au Clusters in Pushing Process
Based on the fact the manipulation of fine nanoclusters calls for more precise modeling, the aim of this paper is to conduct an atomistic investigation for interaction analysis of particle-substrate system for pushing and positioning purposes. In the present research, 2D molecular dynamics simulations have been used to investigate such behaviors. Performing the planar simulations can provide a ...
متن کاملMolecular Dynamics Simulation of Al/NiO Thermite Reaction Using Reactive Force Field (ReaxFF)
In this work, the thermal reaction of aluminum (Al) and nickel oxide (NiO) was investigated by molecular dynamics simulations. Some effective features of reaction such as reaction temperature, the reaction mechanism, and diffusion rate of oxygen into aluminum structure were studied. ReaxFF force field was performed to study the Al/NiO thermite reaction behavior at five different temperatures (5...
